Taken at the park with my trusty Canon Ixus compact. Since compacts can't zoom in for macro, I had to be real still as I approached the butterfly to get a good close-up shot without startling it. Sometimes it can be frustrating using a compact because you don't have as much control over the controls and focusing, especially for macros, but it just takes some modifications and adaptations to get a good photo out of it (:
It was in the late morning, but it was getting pretty clouded over which made for the flat lighting.
